O CAE \u00e9 composto por representantes do Executivo, professores, pais de alunos e entidades civis organizadas. Tem entre suas atribui\u00e7\u00f5es acompanhar e fiscalizar a execu\u00e7\u00e3o do Programa Nacional de Alimenta\u00e7\u00e3o Escolar (PNAE) no Munic\u00edpio verificando a aplica\u00e7\u00e3o dos recursos financeiros, o cumprimento das diretrizes do Programa, bem como a qualidade da alimenta\u00e7\u00e3o ofertada aos estudantes.
